What is Active Together?
An opportunity for people living with Parkinson’s to be active, feel energised and live well. Group exercises improve mental and physical wellbeing. Energy levels increase. Muscle and bone strength are improved, along with co-ordination, flexibility and joint mobility. There’s a reduced risk of falls. Better sleep is enjoyed. Stress levels and blood pressure are reduced. Refreshments after each session enable participants to connect with people with shared experiences. Carers are also welcome to attend.
When and where are Active Together sessions held?
Every Friday, from 11.00am until midday in the Co-op Community Hub (behind the Stacey West Stand) at the LNER Stadium, Sincil Bank, Lincoln LN5 8JZ.
Also, every Friday, from 11.00am until midday at Moorland Community Centre, Moorland Avenue, Lincoln LN6 7NH.
Do places have to be booked for Active Together sessions?
Yes. Please submit the referral form that can be completed online or downloaded here. Once completed, a Foundation team member will be in touch to arrange a one-to-one chat to go through the next steps.
How much do Active Together sessions cost?
£2 per session, to be paid on the day.

The FPA can announce that the guests attending the Exeter game this Saturday are John Kennedy and Lee Beevers, with John hosting. Tony Cunningham will also be attending.
What is the Extra Time Hub?
It’s an initiative designed to increase social interaction for everyone who is retired, semi-retired or approaching retirement. Opportunities to meet and spend time with like-minded people from the area can make a positive difference, reducing any feelings of isolation. It can be good just to sit and talk, over tea and biscuits. Fun and movement are also on offer, through a range of activities suitable for all levels of fitness and skill: table tennis, indoor carpet bowls, new age kurling, boccia, quizzes, bingo, etc.
