Nominations are now closed for the role of Fan Elected Director. One valid application was received from Phil Scrafton, whose 200 word statement is below:
I’m delighted to offer myself as a supporter representative to the Board as part of the Club’s constant drive towards making sure the supporter base is effectively represented. As a longstanding local supporter and a Season Ticket holder I, like all of us, value the huge benefits a successful football club brings to our own lives and to a dynamic City & County.
Having worked as a Chartered Town Planner in local government for twenty years I took the decision to join the private sector in 2003. After a period at Lichfield Planning as Equity Partner, I led the formation of Globe Consultants Limited, a local planning and development business leading planning work in our City, County and further afield. I was pleased to be able to offer our support, knowledge and expertise in assisting the Club with the Stacey West ‘Co-op Community Hub’ project, which provides substantially enhanced facilities to the Foundation in offer supporting our community.
As an active member in the Chamber of Commerce, I co-chaired the Local Affairs and Infrastructure Committees and represented the Chamber as its local business representative on the City Council’s Conservation Areas Advisory Committee.
After retiring as Managing Director of Globe, to spend more time with family and on my other interests, I feel that I have time to support this important role and I am keen to assist further.
Regards,
Phil Scrafton
